BABY JOY AT LAST FOR REDKNAPP WIFE
STAR couple Louise and Jamie Redknapp are expecting their first baby after four years of trying, The People can reveal.
Singer Louise, 29, is 14 weeks pregnant. She and soccer star Jamie, 30, were said to be ecstatic last night.
They had the good news confirmed this week at London's top private hospital, the Portland.
Jubilant Louise has told friends: "We can't wait. Both Jamie and I are over the moon.
"We don't care if it's a boy or a girl as long as it's well. We couldn't be happier"
The celebrity pair, who married in 1998, were desperate to start a family and were beginning to fear they could not have children. Back in 2000 gorgeous Louise said: "Jamie and I have our hearts set on a child.
"I'm so in love with Jamie and I can't think of anything that would make me happier than having his child."
And in December the former member of pop group Eternal said: "I'm definitely at a stage now when I would like a family. One would be enough or maybe two."
She also let slip where her baby may have been conceived - in the grounds of her and Jamie's swanky Hertfordshire mansion.
Louise said: "If I could have sex anywhere, I'd say under the massive old oak in our garden.
"When we bought our home we were told Queen Elizabeth I used to swing around in it. How cool is that?"
Spurs captain Jamie, son of Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp, proposed to Louise in Bermuda after a whirlwind romance and they tied the knot on the island a year later.
But the couple have always shunned the typical football and showbiz lifestyle.
They scoff at the idea of being another Posh and Becks.
Louise, who made a chart comeback last year with her single Pandora's Kiss, said: "Jamie is a very shy person who just wants to play football."
Now he has achieved his greatest goal - giving Louise the child she longs for.
