Former Eternal singer Louise Nurding has been dropped by EMI Records.
The decision came about after poor sales of her latest solo album, 'Elbow Beach'.
The LP, her fourth solo effort, went in at Number 12 on its week of release, but ultimately failed to reach target sale figures.
Louise had been at EMI for 10 years, counting her time with girl band Eternal, notching up 16 Top 20 hits successively. Her most recent singles were 'Two Faced' and 'Beautiful Inside'- both from 'Elbow Beach'.
A spokeswoman confirmed that the singer will record a fifth album: "She was always signed to First Avenue Records and distributed through EMI.
"Now we're looking for a new distribution deal - but don't worry, there's still new and exciting things to come from her."
